Verify that you have write access to the flow.\n\n## About this task\n\nAfter testing that your flow runs properly, activate it to make it available to run. Only activated flows run when their trigger conditions are met or when called by a script.\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Navigate to **All** > **Process Automation** > **Workflow Studio**.\n\n2.  Select the **Flows** data pill filter.\n\n3.  Select the flow that you want to activate from the list of saved flows to open it.\n\n4.  Select **Activate**.\n\n    You must have write access to a flow to activate it. The activate option might be inactive for a number of reasons.\n\n    -   The flow might belong to another application scope that you don’t have access to.\n    -   The flow might be marked read-only to protect it.\n    -   The flow might require developer permissions that you don’t currently have.\n\n**Parent Topic:**[Create a flow in Workflow Studio](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/build-workflows/workflow-studio/create-flow.md)\n\n"}}
