{"revision":"c10276e953456835cdbb1f3a60d58ae1980be353","document":{"id":4392,"path":"build-workflows/workflow-studio/test-conversational-subflow.md","title":"Test conversational subflow","bundle":null,"doc_type":null,"release":"australia","body":"\n# Test conversational subflow\n\nTest a conversational subflow to verify it responds correctly to user inputs and performs the expected operations before deploying it in production.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nRole required: flow\\_designer\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Navigate to **All** > **Process Automation** > **Workflow Studio**.\n\n2.  On the homepage, select **Subflows**.\n\n3.  From the list of subflows, select the subflow that you want to test.\n\n4.  Select **Test**.\n\n5.  From the Test subflow dialog box, select **Trigger via a conversation**.\n\n    |Trigger option|Description|\n    |--------------|-----------|\n    |Trigger by entering inputs|Test by manually entering and selecting input values.|\n    |Trigger via a conversation|Test by providing inputs values in a chat experience.|\n\n    \\[Omitted image \"example-test-subflow-via-conversation.png\"\\] Alt text: Test subflow dialog box with Trigger via a conversation option selected\n\n6.  For **Select skill**, select the conversational-enabled skill that you want to use for conversational testing.\n\n    To configure subflow conversational settings, see [Configure subflow conversational settings](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/build-workflows/workflow-studio/configure-subflow-conversation-settings.md).\n\n7.  For **Select assistant**, select the AI assistant you want to use for conversational testing.\n\n8.  Select **Run Test**.\n\n9.
