Read this summary of the new features, changes, and updated information for your product from Zurich to Australia.\n\n**Tip:** If there were no updates for a release notes section in a certain family release, we included a short note for your reference. For example, if a product did not have any updates in Tokyo, the row says \"No updates for this release.\"\n\n## Important information for upgrading Mobile Platform to Australia\n\nBefore you upgrade to Australia, review these pre- and post-upgrade tasks and complete the tasks as needed.\n\n<table class=\"custom-rows\"><thead><tr><th class=\"filter\">\n\nRelease\n\n</th><th>\n\nRelease notes\n\n</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>\n\nZurich\n\n</td><td>\n\nNo updates for this release.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nAustralia\n\n</td><td>\n\nNo updates for this release.\n\n</td></tr></tbody>\n</table>## New features\n\nBetween your current release family and Australia, new features were introduced for Mobile Platform.\n\n<table class=\"custom-rows\"><thead><tr><th class=\"filter\">\n\nRelease\n\n</th><th>\n\nRelease notes\n\n</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>\n\nZurich\n\n</td><td>\n\n- **[Client-side localization](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=localization-client&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nUse the Mobile Custom Localization app, available from mobile client version 20.6, to let mobile users view app content in any language. This feature improves platform consistency and accessibility for global users. The ServiceNow Store app provides a collection of mobile strings that automatically populates the instance with translatable content required for localization. Once these strings are translated into a custom language, the mobile app automatically retrieves and displays them within the app interface.\n\n\n - **[Improved error handing for uploads manager](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=mobile-activity-stream-task&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nUse the improved error handling in the upload manager to confirm that the necessary files are uploaded successfully. This feature is available in all areas of the ServiceNow mobile applications where you can upload attachments. This includes the following:\n\n - Activity stream\n - Input form screen with an attachment input type\n - Input form screen with an attachment input action\n - Functions of type attachment\n - Cabrillo JS events within a web page\n- **[Option to save videos and photos locally when using ServiceNow mobile apps](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=media-saving-mobile-apps&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nEnable users to save and retrieve pictures and videos taken with the camera on their ServiceNow mobile app, directly to their device. By default, these images are saved for 24 hours on the phone’s local storage. You can set the storage time to be from 1 to 168 hours \\(1 week\\).\n\n- **[Additional descriptive element of type card for input form screens](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=descriptive-elements-script&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nAdd cards created in the Mobile Card Builder as a descriptive element in input form screens. Descriptive elements offer more context to users, making it clearer as to what is required for certain inputs within an input form screen.\n\n- **[Page menu button added to input form screen](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=parameter-input-screen&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nDisplay a page menu button for input form screens with more than two pages, showing users the current page that they are on, such as \"Page 3 of 5.\" Tapping the button opens a page menu that lists all available pages and their level of completeness. This list helps users track their progress in completing an input form.\n\n- **[Complete an input form screen in a non-sequential order](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=parameter-input-screen&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nWork on all pages of an input form screen, even if required fields are not completed. Users can use the next and previous buttons at all times, enabling them to complete the form in a non-sequential manner. In addition, users can use the page menu to work on any page of their choosing.\n\n- **[Error indicator for failed submissions in input form screen](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=parameter-input-screen&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nView an information icon in the top menu bar in cases where a submitted input form contains at least one error. The icon remains accessible when working through all input form screen pages. Tapping the icon opens a page that lists the validation errors, enabling users to correct these errors and submit an error-free input form.\n\n- **[Slider option for adding numeric values in input form screen](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=parameter-screen-var-attr&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nConfigure sliders as an additional method for users to add numeric values in an input form screen. Sliders offer the advantage of defining minimum, maximum, incremental, and default values.\n\n- **[New icons added that you can use in your mobile apps](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=mobile-icon-reference&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nUse new icons that have been added to the following font families in your mobile apps:\n\n - Actions font icons\n - Screen font icons\n - Mobile card font icons\n - Image icons\n- **[Mobile App Builder and Mobile Card Builder Studio integration](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=mab-studio-integration&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nDevelop and modify mobile applications and cards in ServiceNow Studio. While offline, users can continue viewing and editing the same data, including attachments, comments, and navigation, for uninterrupted productivity in low or no-connectivity environments. All changes automatically sync after your connection is restored.\n - Save or submit forms offline, and reopen them later while still offline with all data fully restored.\n - Support of offline capabilities for descriptive elements in input forms.\n - Support of offline capabilities for input actions in input forms.\n - Improved outbox efficiency for input forms by continually combining saved and submitted data.\n- **[Dedicated mobile\\_admin role for mobile configuration](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=mobile-admin-role&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nAssign the new mobile\\_admin role to administrators who configure mobile applications, granting them precisely the permissions needed to complete their tasks. This new role helps reduce reliance on the broader admin role for controlled, secure access of your ServiceNow® account.\n\n- **[Multiple users on a shared device](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=multi-user-single-instance&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nEnable multiple users to securely log into a ServiceNow single account from shared mobile devices. This feature is beneficial in environments where devices are not personal, as it offers secure and personalized access through user-configured PINs, eliminating the need for repetitive full authentications.\n\n**Note:** From the Australia version and above, the terms instance and instances have been renamed as account and accounts on mobile devices. Accounts are a reflection of platform instances on a mobile device and work in the same way, only the terminology has changed.\n\n- **[Configurable timing for PIN application timeout](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=pin-timeout&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nConfigure a new property to define the PIN timeout for different ServiceNow mobile apps. This configuration helps reinforce security by controlling how long users can remain inactive before being required to reenter their PIN.\n\n- **[Dynamic variable support in record screens](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=record-screen-script-type&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nUse the script screen field in record screens to display dynamic field values. For example, you can display translated content for dynamic variables within an email.\n\n- **[Mobile AI Voice Agent](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=mobile-voice-agent&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US)**\n\nSpeak with an AI-powered voice assistant on your mobile device for real-time support.
