Hospital systems, including EHR systems such as Epic, use HL7 v2.x messages to communicate clinical and operational events. These include patient admissions, discharges, and transfers \\(ADT\\).\n\nHL7 v2.x Integration provides three core capabilities: message reception and acknowledgment, configurable parsing, and no-code workflow integration. Integration engines handle transport \\(MLLP, HTTPS\\).
