{"revision":"c10276e953456835cdbb1f3a60d58ae1980be353","document":{"id":27063,"path":"it-business-management/portfolio-planning/create-a-bussiness-rule-ppw.md","title":"Create a business rule for a custom table map configuration","bundle":null,"doc_type":null,"release":"australia","body":"\n# Create a business rule for a custom table map configuration\n\nCreate a business rule to enable import for your new custom table map configuration from and Project Portfolio Management \\(PPM\\) application.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nRole required: sn\\_align\\_core\\_apw.admin\n\n## About this task\n\nAfter you create a custom table map in Portfolio Planning integrations, create a business rule similar to 'Sync Data from Execution to Alignment' business rule in the rm\\_epic or dmn\\_demand tables.\n\n**Note:** Ensure that the business rule is created in the execution application, PPM.\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Navigate to **All** &gt; **System Definition** &gt; **Business Rules**.\n\n2.  From the list of available business rules, locate and open the Sync Data from Execution to Alignment rule.\n\n3.  From the context menu \\(\\[Omitted image \"context-menu-icon.png\"\\] Alt text: Context menu icon.\\), perform an Insert and Stay operation on this business rule.\n\n    If you have not enabled the **Insert and Stay** action in your ServiceNow instance, see [Allow insert options on records](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/platform-administration/advanced-form-administration.md).\n\n4.  On the business rule form, edit the following fields.\n\n<table id=\"table_hpg_yjj_hmb\"><thead><tr><th>\n\nField\n\n</th><th>\n\nDescription\n\n</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>\n\nName\n\n</td><td>\n\nUnique name for the business rule. For example, if your new table map is to map demands, name this rule as Sync Demands with Portfolio Planning.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nTable\n\n</td><td>\n\nSelect the table for which you've created the custom map.For example, Feature \\[sn\\_safe\\_feature\\].\n\n</td></tr></tbody>\n</table>5.
