{"revision":"c10276e953456835cdbb1f3a60d58ae1980be353","document":{"id":27574,"path":"it-business-management/project-management/t_ModifyTheCopyProjectUIPage.md","title":"Change default values of copied project","bundle":null,"doc_type":null,"release":"australia","body":"\n# Change default values of copied project\n\nReset or change the default values for copied fields in the new copied partial or complete project.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nRole required: admin\n\n## About this task\n\nChild tasks are defined with the same relationships, each lasting for the same duration as the original tasks. All project tasks are set to **Pending**. Actual duration and the actual start and end dates are reset to null values. The state is set to **New** and percent complete is set to 0. Administrators can override the Script Include CopyProjectFieldOverride to determine which fields are reset or to change the default values.\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Navigate to **All** > **System UI** > **Script Include**.\n\n2.  Open the CopyProjectFieldOverride record.\n\n3.  Add the method to override the method defined in the CopyProjectFieldOverrideSNC script for resetting or defaulting the values.\n\n    For example, to copy partial project:\n\n    ```\n         /* getResetFieldsForCopyPartialProject method returns the array containing the list of names of fields that need to be erased from the copied project tasks\n                        * getDefaultObjectForCopyPartialProject method returns the object containing the key, value pairs of field names and values that need to be set on the copied tasks\n                        */var CopyProjectFieldOverride = Class.create();\n                        CopyProjectFieldOverride.prototype = Object.extendsObject(CopyProjectFieldOverrideSNC, {\n                        getResetFieldsForCopyPartialProject: function() {\n                        return ['work_start', ‘work_end’, ‘work_duration’];\n                        },\n                        getDefaultObjForCopyPartialProject: function() {\n                        return {'state': -5,‘percent_complete: 0’};\n                    },\n                    type: 'CopyProjectFieldOverride'\n                    });\n    \n    ```\n\n    To copy complete project:\n\n    ```\n    /* getResetFieldsForCopyProject method returns the array containing the list of names of fields that need to be erased from the copied project tasks\n                * getDefaultObjectForCopyProject method returns the object containing the key, value pairs of field names and values that need to be set on the copied tasks\n                */var CopyProjectFieldOverride = Class.create();\n                CopyProjectFieldOverride.prototype = Object.extendsObject(CopyProjectFieldOverrideSNC, {\n                getResetFieldsForCopyProject: function() {\n                        return ['work_start' ,\"work_end\",\"work_duration\"];},\n                        getDefaultObjForCopyProject: function()\n                        {\n                            return {'state': -5, ‘percent_complete: 0’};\n                         },\n                        type: 'CopyProjectFieldOverride'\n                      });\n    \n    ```\n\n4.
