The release pipeline can access only a snapshot that is the currently published version.\n\n## Before you begin\n\n**Important:** Starting with the Washington D.C. release, DevOps Config is being prepared for future deprecation. It will be hidden and no longer activated on new instances but will continue to be supported.\n\nRole required: cdm\\_viewer\n\n## Procedure\n\n1. Open an application and select the **Snapshots** tab.\n\n The tab lists all deployables that are associated with the application. Each deployable displays a short list of its snapshots. Select **Show all** to view the full list of snapshots.\n\n<table id=\"table_x2g_tj3_cqb\"><thead><tr><th>\n\nColumn name\n\n</th><th>\n\nDescription\n\n</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>\n\nName\n\n</td><td>\n\nUnique name for the snapshot.\n\n When a snapshot is generated, the system uses the deployable name and the snapshot number to generate a default name \\(for example, `deployableName_1`, `deployableName_2`\\). You can edit the name.\n\n **Tip:** You can edit the name on the **Details** tab. Select the snapshot name to open the tab.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nDescription\n\n</td><td>\n\nDescriptive information that you supply to help other users. **Tip:** You can add a description on the **Details** tab. Only published snapshots can be exported.**Important:** By default, exporters use the most recently created published snapshot.\n\n While defining or updating a deployable, you can specify that only validated snapshots can be published. You can unupublish a snapshot. See [Publish or unpublish a snapshot](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/it-service-management/devops-family/cdm-snapshot-publish.md).\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nDeployable\n\n</td><td>\n\nDeployable on which the snapshot is based.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nValidation\n\n</td><td>\n\nValidation status:- Not validated: This is the initial snapshot state where no policy has been executed against the snapshot.\n- Requested: The validation flow has started.\n- In progress: The validation flow is running and policies are currently executing.\n- Passed: The snapshot has passed all policies.\n- Failed: The snapshot has failed one or more policies.\n- Execution error: A policy failed to run to completiondue to an unexpected error, mostly when the [CdmPolicyUtil script include](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/it-service-management/devops-family/cdm-about-cdmpolicyutil.md) is not used to provide warning and failure messages..\n\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nLast validated\n\n</td><td>\n\nTimestamp when the snapshot was validated last.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nCreated\n\n</td><td>\n\nTimestamp when the snapshot was created.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nCreated by\n\n</td><td>\n\nUser who created the snapshot.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nChangeset\n\n</td><td>\n\nChangeset containing the data of the snapshot.
