When embedding a report in this way, you can generate a new report using parameters, or specify a report sys\\_id to display that report.\n\nFor example, add the following to the HTML/XML block in the UI page record:\n\n```\n<xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\">\n <j:jelly trim=\"false\" xmlns:j=\"jelly:core\" xmlns:g=\"glide\" xmlns:j2=\"null\" xmlns:g2=\"null\">\n <g:inline template=\"reporting_includes.xml\" />\n <div id=\"report_stuff\" />\n </j:jelly>\n\n```\n\nAnd add the following to the Client script block in the UI page record:\n\n```\nvar params = {sysparm_title: \"Average for all ratings\", sysparm_field: \"category\", sysparm_type: \"bar\", sysparm_table: \"asmt_category_result\", sysparm_aggregate: \"AVG\", sysparm_sumfield: \"rating\"}; \nvar div = $j(\"#report_stuff\");\nembedReportByParams(div, params);\n```\n\nAlternatively, you can embed the JavaScript inside the jelly code. Available parameters depend on the report type.|\n\n## Generating and embedding a list report\n\nWhen you embed an existing list report or generate a list report and embed it, you must enter one more line of code.\n\nAdd the following to the HTML/XML block in the UI page record:\n\n```\n<xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\">\n <j:jelly trim=\"false\" xmlns:j=\"jelly:core\" xmlns:g=\"glide\" xmlns:j2=\"null\" xmlns:g2=\"null\">\n <g:inline template=\"reporting_includes.xml\" />\n <g:inline template=\"list2_js_includes.xml\" /> \n <div id=\"report_stuff\" />\n </j:jelly>\n\n```\n\nAdd the following to the Client script block in the UI page record. Add the code from the client script block between &lt;script&gt; tags:\n\n```\n<xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\">\n <j:jelly trim=\"false\" xmlns:j=\"jelly:core\" xmlns:g=\"glide\" xmlns:j2=\"null\" xmlns:g2=\"null\">\n <g:inline template=\"reporting_includes.xml\" />\n <g:inline template=\"list2_js_includes.xml\" />\n <div id=\"report_stuff\" /> \n <script>\n var div = $j(\"#report_stuff\");\n embedReportById(div, <\"report sys_id\">);\n </script>\n </j:jelly>\n```\n\n|Parameter|Description|\n|---------|-----------|\n|targetSpan|The jQuery element to embed the chart in.
