When you purchase a subscription, certain plugins are activated automatically. If a paid plugin isn't activated automatically, you can manually activate it from the All Applications list in your instance.\n\n**Note:**\n\nBefore purchasing a subscription, you can evaluate the feature on a non-production instance without charge by requesting it from the Now Support Service Catalog.\n\nInstalling the Data Discovery Store App will auto install the Data Discovery APIs plugin\n\nRole required: admin\n\n## About this task\n\nThe following items are installed with data discovery:\n\n-   Roles\n-   Tables\n\nFor more information on the roles and tables installed, see [Data Discovery roles](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/platform-security/data-discovery/data-discovery-roles.md) and [Default regular expression data patterns](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/platform-security/data-discovery/default-data-patterns.md).\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Navigate to **All** > **System Applications** > **All Available Applications** > **All**.\n\n2.  Find the Data Discovery plugin \\(sn\\_data\\_discovery\\) using the filter criteria and search bar.\n\n    You can search for the plugin by its name or ID. If you cannot find a plugin, you might have to request it from ServiceNow personnel.\n\n3.  Select **Install** to start the installation process.\n\n    **Note:** When domain separation and delegated admin are enabled in an instance, the administrative user must be in the **global** domain. Otherwise, the following error appears: `Application installation is unavailable because another operation is running: Plugin Activation for <plugin name>.`\n\n    You will see a message after installation is completed. For information about the components installed with a plugin, see [Find components installed with an application](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/platform-administration/find-components.md).\n\n\n"}}
